Lionel Richie began his music career as a member of the Commodores in the late 1960s, achieving fame with hits like “Easy”, “Three Times a Lady” and “Brick House.” In the early 1980s, he launched a solo career, quickly becoming one of the decade’s most successful artists. His debut solo album (1982) included the chart-topping single “Truly”. Richie’s 1983 album “Can’t Slow Down” sold over 20 million copies worldwide, featuring global hits like “All Night Long”, “Hello”, and “Stuck on You”. He won multiple Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. The song “Angel”, from his 2000 album “Renaissance”, marked a return to international charts, reaching the Top 10 in several European countries. This live-performance is from Dutch tv programme “Cor & Co” and broadcast on December 15, 2000.
